This Learning Center provides information resources on topics ranging from how your computer works to navigating the Internet. Thanks to our sponsors, these services are provided for FREE !! If you are new to the world of computers, this is the place to start. Before you go exploring the Internet, learn the fundamental skills needed for a safe journey.   1. Training Topics:
    A wide variety of information is provided including: The fundamentals of how your computer works, Navigating the Internet, Windows Basics, and various other topics. A glossary of Computer and Internet terms is also included.

  2. Word Search Capabilities:
    Find answers to your questions quickly and easily by performing a word search of the information database. You  can search Computer and Windows information or Internet  information.

  3. Multiple Choice Quizzes:
    Once you have studied a topic, take a quiz to test your knowledge. A fun way to see what you have learned. Score a perfect 100% on a quiz and print your Certificate of Achievement.

     The Learning Center currently contains the following topics:
  1. Glossary of Computer Terms
    Contains definitions for most of the terms associated with your computer. An excellent reference source.

  2. Glossary of Internet Terms
    Contains definitions for most of the terms you will encounter surfing the 'Net. An excellent reference source.

  3. Introduction to the Internet
    Includes information on the Internet, your browser, EMAIL, software tools you will need, and various other topics. There is a Quiz for this topic.

  4. How Your Computer Works
    We build an imaginary computer component by component and describe the fundamental function of each piece as we go. This is essential knowledge, if you ever plan to add a hardware device to your computer or have problems with it. We also discuss the software that controls the operation of your computer and how you should organize the files on your hard drive. There is a Quiz for this topic.

  5. Windows Basics
    This topic describes what Windows is, keyboard short cut techniques, the controls for operating Windows programs, and various other topics. There is a Quiz for this topic.

  6. Operating Windows
    Our discussion here will get you quickly up to speed with operating in the Windows environment. The information provided includes using the Control Panel, installing software and hardware, working with documents/ word processors, and various other topics. Also included is a discussion on troubleshooting problems with your computer and alternative reference sources for resolving these issues. This includes problems arising from installing new software and hardware. There is a Quiz for this topic.

  7. Creating Web Pages
    This topic will teach the fundamental parts required for a web page. Information will be provided for the Hyper-Text Markup Language (HTML) codes used for web pages, how to get your pages loaded onto the Internet(Ws_ftp32.exe), and various other essential topics.
